S. Korean analyst says Park's response to Abe statement restrained

Jin Chang Soo, president of South Korea's Sejong Institute, says in an interview with Kyodo News in Seoul on Aug. 18, 2015, that President Park Geun Hye's response to the Aug. 14 statement by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II was restrained. But he said Abe's perception of the 1915-45 Japanese colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula as expressed in the statement is one-sided and therefore unacceptable. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
