U.S. envoy Kennedy joins Tour de Tohoku cycling event

U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy makes a speech before the start of the Tour de Tohoku 2015 cycling event in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, on Sept. 13, 2015. Kennedy joined the 95-kilometer course. The event began in 2013 to keep alive the memory of the devastating 2011 quake and tsunami in the Tohoku region and to help reconstruction efforts.
