Myanmar opens Thilawa Special Economic Zone
Japanese Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso (C in front) attends the opening ceremony for the Thilawa Special Economic Zone located 20 kilometers southeast of Yangon, Myanmar, on Sept. 23, 2015. Aso reiterated that the Japan-backed industrial zone is an important project that would lead to economic development and spur employment in Myanmar. (Kyodo)
