Massive levee system being built along northeastern Japan coast
Photo taken on Nov. 12, 2015, from a drone shows a gradient-type coastal levee constructed in the northeastern Japanese city of Kesennuma in response to devastation caused by the 2011 massive earthquake and tsunami. The levee is 217 meters in length and 11.3 meters in height, 7 meters higher than its predecessor. (Kyodo)
