Kobe illumination event continues despite mishap
Many spectators visit the Kobe Luminarie light festival, held to commemorate victims of the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake in the western Japan port city of Kobe, on the night of Dec. 11, 2015, after part of its illumination display was knocked down apparently by strong winds earlier in the day. The organizers checked other displays and said the annual festival will continue as scheduled through Dec. 13. (Kyodo)
