Riken named discoverer of atomic element 113, wins naming right
Photo taken in August 2015 shows an accelerator at the Riken institute in Wako, northwest of Tokyo, which was used to artificially synthesize the atomic element 113. The institute said Dec. 31 it has been recognized by an international organization as the discoverer of the element and has been handed its naming right. (Kyodo)
