Underwear that can measure, send health data developed
A man (C) models a new type of underwear knitted from metallic textiles that can transmit health data to smartphones via wireless communication, while a member of the garment's development team explains the technology in the western Japan city of Osaka on Jan. 6, 2016. Developed by major underwear maker Gunze Ltd. in collaboration with NEC Corp., one of Japan's biggest electronics firms, the garment can measure its wearer's heart rate and the number of calories they consume, as well as the straightness of their back.
