Underwear that can measure, send health data developed
A smartphone shows the straightness of the back of the man in the background, who wears a new type of underwear knitted from metallic textiles that can transmit health data to smartphones via wireless communication, in the western Japan city of Osaka on Jan. 6, 2016. Developed by major underwear maker Gunze Ltd. in collaboration with NEC Corp., one of Japan's biggest electronics firms, the garment can also measure its wearer's heart rate and the number of calories they consume.
