Van carrying elderly people falls off road in northeastern Japan

A van lies overturned on Jan. 25, 2016, after falling off a road into a parking lot in Sendai city, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The accident, apparently caused by the slipperiness of the ice-covered road, occurred as the van was picking up elderly people and carrying them to a day service center, killing a female passenger in her 90s and injuring five other clients of the service.
