BOJ launches negative interest rate to beat deflation
Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso speaks to reporters at the Diet building in Tokyo on Feb. 16, 2016. On the Bank of Japan's introduction of its first-ever negative interest rate policy, Aso said the policy "is expected to have a positive effect on consumption and investment and bring changes to ways of managing funds, which have shifted one-sidedly to deposits and savings."
