Global wind power capacity tops nuclear energy for 1st time

According to data released by the Global Wind Energy Council and the World Nuclear Association, the capacity of wind power generation worldwide surpassed that of nuclear energy for the first time. Wind power capacity at the end of 2015 reached 432.42 gigawatts, while the global nuclear power generation capacity measured at 382.55 gigawatts as of Jan. 1, 2016. (Kyodo)
