5 years on: Fukushima town remains evacuation zone
People offer flowers at the site of a building washed away by a massive tsunami in March 2011, in the town of Namie, Fukushima Prefecture on March 11, 2016, the fifth anniversary of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake that triggered the wave. Because of its proximity to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, where three reactors suffered meltdowns following the natural disasters, the town lies within an evacuation zone. (Kyodo)
