Myanmar parliament selects presidential nominees
Aung San Suu Kyi, head of Myanmar's National League for Democracy, attends a parliamentary session in Naypyitaw on March 11, 2016. Myanmar's two parliamentary houses selected their presidential candidates, both of whom are from the NLD, potentially paving the way for the party to have its first president. Suu Kyi is barred from the presidency because she has foreign-born children. (Kyodo)
