Metro workers mark 21st anniversary of nerve gas attack in Tokyo
Shizue Takahashi, 69, speaks with reporters after laying flowers at Kasumigaseki Station on March 20, 2016, the 21st anniversary of the AUM Shinrikyo cult's deadly sarin nerve gas attack on the Tokyo subway system that killed 13 people and injured over 6,000 others in the capital. Takahashi, whose husband Kazumasa, an assistant stationmaster, died in the attack, said that even though 21 years have passed, visiting the station caused her to feel as if it happened just yesterday.
