Shikoku Electric's Ikata No. 1 nuclear reactor to be scrapped
File photo taken in November 2015 shows Shikoku Electric Power Co.'s Ikata nuclear plant in Ehime Prefecture, western Japan. The company plans to give up restarting the No. 1 reactor (C) of the plant and scrap it because extending the aging unit's lifespan would be hugely expensive, company sources said on March 25, 2016.
