Tsunami-hit school building to be preserved
File photo taken in February 2016 shows the tsunami-hit building of Okawa elementary school in Ishinomaki, Japan, where a total of 84 students and faculty were killed or remain unaccounted for in the March 2011 disaster. The mayor of the city intends to preserve the building as a heritage site and is in talks with the central government on the matter. (Kyodo)
