High-tech rescue dog shown to Prime Minister Abe
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (C) and Aiko Shimajiri (L top), the minister in charge of information technology policy, meet Gonta, a rescue dog with a high-tech vest containing a small camera and global positioning system strapped to its body, at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on March 28, 2016. So-called "Robo-Dogs" like the 10-year-old canine have gained attention for their potential to improve rescue operations for people trapped under rubble in disaster zones. (Kyodo)
