JR train stations in Tokyo to have letters and numbers
Photo taken March 29, 2016, shows a signboard at Ueno Station on the subway Ginza and Hibiya lines in Tokyo, bearing an orange circle with "G16" and gray circle with "H17," a display system friendly to foreigners who are not familiar with the Japanese language. East Japan Railway Co. will adopt a similar system for its stations in the Tokyo area ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, company sources said March 30, 2016. (Kyodo)
