Rengo labor organization's 1st chief Yamagishi dies at 86
Photo taken in 2000 shows Akira Yamagishi, the first president of Japan's largest labor organization known as Rengo, who died April 10, 2016, aged 86. The Osaka native led the Japanese Trade Union Confederation from 1989, when it was formed, until his resignation in 1994. (Kyodo)
