Nearly two-thirds of Kumamoto schools remain closed after quakes
Students at Sakuragi junior high school in the southwestern Japan city of Kumamoto clean up April 25, 2016, on the premises of the school, which has been used as an evacuation center following powerful earthquakes about 10 days earlier. The school is expected to resume classes around mid-May. Nearly two-thirds of educational facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture remained closed, local governments and education boards said. (Kyodo)
