FIFA names Senegalese as 1st female sec'y general
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announces at a FIFA Congress in Mexico City on May 13, 2016, the appointment of Fatma Samoura as the first female secretary general of the organization. Samoura, a Senegalese U.N. diplomat, will replace Jerome Valcke, who was dismissed in January amid allegations of widespread corruption. (Kyodo)
