Over 10,000 people still in shelters 1 month after Kumamoto quakes
Candles are lit in front of a shelter in Mashiki, Kumamoto Prefecture, southwestern Japan, on May 14, one month after the area was hit by a magnitude 6.5 quake. More than 10,000 people were still taking refuge at shelters after the strong quake, the first of more than 1,400 temblors that could be felt by humans. (Kyodo)
