Le Corbusier-designed Tokyo museum endorsed for World Heritage list
Visitors line up to enter the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo on May 18, 2016, a day after the Japanese government said that a UNESCO advisory panel has recommended listing 17 structures designed by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier, including the museum, as World Heritage sites. The endorsement is expected to be finalized at a World Heritage Committee meeting in July in Turkey. (Kyodo)
