Vietnam's top leader casts ballot in parliamentary elections
Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of Vietnam's ruling Communist Party, casts his vote in the country's parliamentary election at a polling station in Hanoi on May 22, 2016. Voters will elect 500 members from 870 nominees for the National Assembly in an election tightly controlled by the ruling party, as it conducted a vetting process beforehand that blocked numerous independent nominees from running.
