No-confidence motion against Abe Cabinet voted down
Katsuya Okada, leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, votes for a motion of no-confidence in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Cabinet at the Diet in Tokyo on May 31, 2016. The motion was submitted by the DP and three other oppositions in response to Abe's plan to put off the consumption tax hike, but it was voted down by the ruling bloc. (Kyodo)
