Kumamoto quake forces 300 people to spend night on trains
The Kyushu Shinkansen bullet train service was suspended at JR Kumamoto Station in southwestern Japan on June 12, 2016, following a magnitude-4.3 earthquake, the biggest recorded since April 19 in Kumamoto Prefecture. A total of more than 300 passengers had to spend the night on trains as another bullet train went out of service at Shin Minamata Station. (Kyodo)
