14 foreign cooks invited for Japanese cuisine training program
A total of 14 cooks from 11 countries and territories and other people pose for a photo during an opening ceremony at a hotel in Tokyo on June 30, 2016, to mark the launch of a training program aimed at promoting Japanese cuisine overseas. The cooks will be trained on the job at traditional Japanese restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo for six months after learning basic Japanese language and culinary skills at cooking schools and elsewhere.
