People queue for free tasting of extremely pricey grapes
Photo taken July 8, 2016, in Amagasaki, western Japan, shows a bunch of Ruby Roman high-end table grapes on display at supermarket Kurashi Kaientai, which won the bidding for a 950-gram bunch with a record-high bid of 1.1 million yen ($10,900) at an auction the previous day. All 31 grapes, costing 35,000 yen ($348) apiece, were given away to the first 31 people who lined up for the free tasting event at the supermarket the same day. (Kyodo)
