Japan's Kishida calls for peaceful resolution of S. China Sea disputes
Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida speaks at a meeting with his counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on July 25, 2016, in the Laotian capital Vientiane. Kishida urged the Philippines and other nations embroiled in territorial disputes with China in the South China Sea to peacefully resolve the issue, and reiterated Japan's view that a recent international tribunal ruling denying China's claim over the contested waters is legally binding.
