Taiwan's former President Lee Teng-hui begins 5-day visit to Okinawa
Former Taiwanese President Lee Teng-hui makes a speech on July 30, 2016, during his visit to a monument on the island of Ishigaki in Okinawa Prefecture that honors Taiwanese farmers who emigrated to the island before World War II. Lee, 93, began a five-day visit to Okinawa the same day, making his first overseas trip since suffering a minor stroke in late 2015. (Kyodo)
