Dollar drops to upper 99 yen zone as U.S. rate hike bets recede
An electronic board in Tokyo shows the U.S. dollar falling to the upper 99 yen zone on the morning of Aug. 18, 2016. The decline was attributed to dented expectations of a near-term interest rate hike by the U.S. Federal Reserve after the overnight release of its policy meeting minutes. (Kyodo)
