Court recognizes 2 A-bomb survivors as radiation disease sufferers
Plaintiffs head to the Nagoya District Court in the central Japan city on Sept. 14, 2016, ahead of a ruling concerning two men and two women, exposed to the 1945 atomic bombings, seeking to be certified as suffering from radiation diseases under standards eased in recent years. The court recognized the two men, exposed to the Hiroshima atomic bomb, as radiation disease sufferers, overturning the government's rejection of their bid. (Kyodo)
