Blackout temporarily hits Tokyo due to cable fire

The inside of a building near JR Shimbashi Station in Tokyo is dark at around 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2016, as a result of an extensive power outage that hit the Japanese capital. The blackout, which lasted for about an hour, affected more than 585,000 residential and office buildings, but no injuries were reported.
