Osaka restaurant to sell noodle dish model of Tsutenkaku tower
A woman holds a bowl of "Tower Curry Udon" noodles at a restaurant inside Shin-Imamiya Station of Nankai Electric Railway Co. in Osaka on Oct. 27, 2016, ahead of the 60th anniversary the following day of the nearby Tsutenkaku tower, a beloved landmark. The special wheat flour noodle dish -- a one-500th model of the 100-meter tower -- uses "chikuwa" tube-like food made of fish paste and Japanese quail eggs. The dish will be offered from Oct. 28 through Nov. 30 for 600 yen ($5), making it the priciest and "tallest" menu item at the restaurant. (Kyodo)
