Tokyo stocks leap 5% in morning after Wall St. gains on Trump win
A financial data screen in Tokyo shows the Nikkei Stock Average gaining temporarily more than 1,000 points on Nov. 10, 2016, to erase the previous day's heavy loss, following Wall Street's strong rise triggered by Republican Donald Trump's presidential election victory. The Nikkei leaped 927.33 points, or 5.71 percent, from the previous day to 17,178.87 at the end of the morning session. (Kyodo)
