Large dish antenna to conclude operations

Photo taken in November 2016 shows a dish antenna in the city of Tsukuba, near Tokyo, one of the world's largest parabolas for geodesy. The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan has used the antenna, 32 meters in diameter, since 1998 to monitor the movement of plates, which can lead to huge earthquakes, and other purposes. Its operation will conclude at the end of December. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
