Sri Lanka, predominantly Buddhist country, building world's tallest Christmas tree
Volunteers engage in work to build the world's tallest artificial Christmas tree, at 100 meters, on the shore of Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Dec. 14, 2016, ahead of Christmas. The metal tree, which will be wrapped with tree bark and decorated with about 1 million colored pine cones, is expected to be completed on Dec. 23. (Kyodo)
