Snow statues lit up in Sapporo prior to Snow Festival

Snow statues are lit up on Feb. 5, 2017, at the Odori Park in Sapporo on Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido, prior to the Feb. 6 start of the annual Snow Festival. It is expected around 2 million tourists will visit the city through Feb. 12 to see 200 statues, including one of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
