Antarctica icebergs seen from aboard Japanese ship
A group of icebergs are seen from aboard the icebreaker Shirase on March 1, 2017, during its Antarctic Sea voyage back to Japan from Showa Station, a Japanese research facility at the South Pole. The icebergs, stuck in the shallows off Cape Darnley in Antarctica, range in size up to more than 100 kilometers in length, about 30 km in width, and 50 meters in height above the sea surface.
