Japan's disaster minister to resign after quake gaffe
Masayoshi Yoshino, a House of Representatives member from Fukushima Prefecture, seen in this undated photo, has been picked by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe after Japan's disaster reconstruction minister Masahiro Imamura was set to resign after saying on April 25, 2017 that it was "a good thing" the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami struck northeastern Japan rather than the Tokyo area.
