Japan's disaster minister quits over quake gaffe
Japan's disaster reconstruction minister Masahiro Imamura arrives at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on April 26, 2017, to tender his resignation to Shinzo Abe. Imamura resigned following an outcry in northeastern Japan over his comment that it was "a good thing" that the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster in the region did not strike the Tokyo area.
