Tsunami-damaged school opens to public
People visit on April 30, 2017, an elementary school in the northeastern Japanese city of Sendai hit by tsunami in March 2011, as the school building opened to the public as a memorial site to hand down the lessons learned from the disaster. The rust on the cabinet, installed at a teachers' room on the second floor, shows the trace of the tsunami. (Kyodo)
