Unusually hot July in Hokkaido, northern Japan
Women push strollers with babies in Sapporo on Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido on July 14, 2017, with a display on a building showing the temperature has hit 35 C. The local meteorological observatory said temperatures surpassed 30 C for the 10th day in a row, a rarity for Hokkaido in July with the last such occurrence 20 years earlier. (Kyodo)
