Cambodia opposition makes strong showing in local elections

Hun Sen's Cambodian People's Party won 1,156 commune chief positions, down from the 1,592 in the previous elections in 2012, while the largest opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party garnered 489, increasing more than tenfold from the 40 won by its two predecessor parties.
