Ex-Thai PM Thaksin breaks silence on Twitter
Ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, seen in this undated photo, posted on his personal Twitter account on Aug. 30, 2017, about justice and judicial tyranny, following his youngest sister Yingluck's escape from the country amid a court trial on negligence charges. "Montesquieu once said, 'There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice,'" Thaksin, who lives in exile, said in his first tweet in about two years, quoting the French political philosopher Montesquieu.
