Kin commemorate victims of 1923 massacre of Koreans in Japan

South Korean people, who are relatives of Koreans massacred by Japanese in the aftermath of the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake in Tokyo and its vicinity, toss flowers into the ocean during a memorial service held in Busan, South Korea on Aug. 30, 2017, ahead of the 94th anniversary of the Sept. 1 quake. A cenotaph at a park in Tokyo claims that some 6,000 Koreans were killed in the massacre triggered by unconfirmed rumors saying that Koreans were rioting. Chinese were also killed. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
