Exhibition juxtaposes pop icons and traditional Japanese paintings

A scroll piece featuring manga character Black Jack, created by the artist Osamu Tezuka (1928-1989), and three crows drawn by Rimpa-style artist Suzuki Kiitsu (1796-1858) is on display at an exhibition in Kyoto on Sept. 13, 2017.
