Snowcapped Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji seen from the city of Fujiyoshida in Yamanashi Prefecture, central Japan, is capped with snow for the first time this season on Oct. 26, 2017, 31 days later than last year, according to city officials. Separately, the Japan Meteorological Agency, which has an observatory about 40 kilometers away from the foot of Mt. Fuji, reported flecks of snow on the summit three days earlier. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
