LDP resumes talks on constitutional change after election win
Hiroyuki Hosoda, a veteran Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker who heads the party's panel promoting constitutional reform, speaks at its meeting which was resumed in Tokyo on Nov. 16, 2017 following his party's major victory in the Oct. 22 House of Representatives election. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who heads the LDP, is eager to revise the Constitution while he is in office, particularly the war-renouncing Article 9, a major topic taken up during the day's discussion by the LDP panel.
