Shogi master Habu
Professional Japanese shogi player Yoshiharu Habu (back) and his long-time archrival Akira Watanabe (front) reflect on their match at an inn in Ibusuki, Kagoshima Prefecture in southwestern Japan on Dec. 5, 2017. Habu beat Watanabe to take the prestigious Ryuo title, one of the eight major shogi titles. Habu has won the Ryuo title seven times in total, gaining the eisei lifetime Ryuo honor and making him the first-ever shogi player to win a seventh eisei lifetime title.
